It is also announced that Tyran Khachatryan’s participation in the investigation is being hindered.

Furthermore, it should be noted that Tyran Khachatryan’s involvement in the arms deal was solely aimed at protecting his own life and health. He was endangered by the criminal group involved in the arms smuggling and his actions do not correspond to his actual objectives. Prior to this, Tyran Khachatryan’s involvement in the arms deal was conducted voluntarily, without the involvement of any representatives of the media. The investigation results indicate that the person involved does not meet the criteria of being a media representative, and his arrest is a consequence of a random incident. The examination conducted by the forensic expert appointed by the court confirmed visible bodily harm, and the person in question did not present any complaints.

The decision to arrest Tyran Khachatryan is an unfounded deviation from the principle of presumption of innocence, based on unverified and subjective information from a biased criminal investigation. The court’s examination of the case materials reveals that the implementation of violence and the consequences of the actions of the armed group do not correspond to the alleged risks and the application of any legal norms. In the court hearing, the prosecution represented by Tyran Khachatryan intervened to propose alternative means of restraint, such as house arrest and a 10 million AMD bond. The prosecution claims that house arrest only increases the risk of escape from custody, as well as the risks posed by possible provocations and phone threats. No evidence or factual arguments have been presented to limit Tyran Khachatryan’s rights and phone communication by a court order. In short, the decision is arbitrary.

It is believed that the arrest of Tyran Khachatryan is an attempt to damage his high reputation and political stance in defense of national interests. His qualifications and merits earned during his service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia are evident through his highest military rank and numerous awards in the field of national defense. This arrest seemingly aims to tarnish his reputation and political position.
