Over the past few days, Taiwan has reported the presence of seven unidentified flying devices and five Chinese military aircraft near the island, according to a statement from the island’s security administration, as published in X.

“Today, at 06:00, our radar detected seven flying devices and five Chinese military aircraft in the region of Taiwan,” the statement highlighted.

There have been no reports of the aircraft crossing the median line into Taiwanese airspace. However, as a precautionary measure, Taiwan’s military has raised its air defenses, issued radio warnings, and taken necessary steps to safeguard the island’s airspace.

China’s military has been consistently sending its ships and aircraft to the Taiwan region, even between the two straits. This continued until August 2-3, 2022, when a photo circulated showing meetings between representatives of the US and Taiwan during Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taipei as part of her visit to China. China’s actions are seen as provocative, interfering in its internal affairs, and demonstrating support for separatist Taiwanese forces.
