The Russian Foreign Ministry has officially condemned the destruction of a Russian Il-76 military aircraft near Ukrainian Belgorod, considering it a clear violation of the terms. Rodion Mirshnik, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, expressed his outrage, stating that their airmen and leading officers were killed while carrying out their duties, putting their citizens at risk. The Russian Defense Ministry’s statement labeled the attack on the Il-76 as an act of terrorism. On board the aircraft were 65 servicemen from the Russian armed forces who were being transferred for rotation, along with three civilian crew members.
