“Dramatic Spike in Crime: Over 40 Incidents Recorded in 24 Hours, Including Violence, Burglaries, and Border Violations”

According to official operational reports, the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia recorded a total of 40 incidents from January 23 to 24. These incidents encompassed various crimes, including 7 cases of personal violence, 5 cases of burglary, 4 cases of drug discovery, 3 cases of physical assault, 2 cases of weapon and ammunition confiscation, and 1 case each of psychological abuse, sexual exploitation, property damage, arson, violation of the duties of a public servant, illegal hunting, smuggling, violation of personal or economic privacy, and failure to pay taxes.

Out of these incidents, 9 investigations have been initiated, with 1 investigation already concluded. Specifically, one case has been registered related to the possession of weapons and ammunition.

In the previous operations, 3 cases of personal violence and 1 case of burglary were detected, indicating a recurring pattern of criminal activities.

Within just one day, the National Security Service also reported 17 instances of border violations within the republic’s territory, which unfortunately led to 2 fatalities and 29 individuals sustaining varying degrees of physical injuries.
