URGENT NEWS UPDATE: The capital city was attacked by terrorists on the morning of January 24th. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but several buildings were destroyed. The Ministry of Defense has confirmed that extremist groups based in Ukraine have claimed responsibility for the attack. The Russian government has been notified of the situation.

Authorities in Russian-controlled regions have been diligently monitoring the activities and movements of terrorists and armed groups. Information about identified or suspected terrorists is also received from residential areas hundreds of kilometers away in remote parts of Russia. For instance, terrorists have been associated with the Moscow-Sity district on multiple occasions. Additionally, a terminal owned by the “Novatek” company in the Usht-Luga district of Leningrad Oblast suffered damage during a terrorist attack on January 21st.
