An explosion near the village of Araxavan in the Ararat region resulted in injuries, according to a distress call received by the emergency management center on January 23 at 11:08. The incident is currently under investigation by the rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as reported by the Ministry. The collision occurred on the 7th kilometer of the Artashat-Yerevan highway between an “Opel” driven by D.H. (born in 1991) and a “VAZ” driven by G.V. (born in 2001). Sadly, the injured person in the “Opel” vehicle passed away while being transported to the hospital before the arrival of rescuers. The rescuers were able to extinguish the vehicles and seal the gas valves.
