“Emergency Rescue Teams Brave Snowy Conditions to Evacuate Stranded Vehicles on Dilijan Pass in Tavush”

On January 22, at 09:32, the emergency management headquarters of the Tavush region received an urgent call for help. A heavy truck carrying construction materials had found itself stranded due to the heavy snow and freezing temperatures on the Dilijan pass and the road leading to the Dilijan resort. The situation was dire and required immediate assistance from rescuers. Recognizing the urgency, the State Emergency Situations Service was promptly informed.

A rescue team from the State Emergency Service swiftly arrived at the scene to assess the gravity of the situation. From 10:48 until 23:00, amidst the state of emergency, they successfully evacuated a total of 13 stranded vehicles, including 6 heavy trucks and 20 city buses. Their heroic efforts not only freed the trapped vehicles but also provided much-needed assistance to the passengers who were left stranded.

This incident serves as a poignant reminder of the unpredictable nature of winter weather and the importance of emergency response mechanisms. It is through the dedication and expertise of rescuers that these situations can be effectively managed, preventing further hardship and ensuring the safety of all those involved.
