“Former North Korean President Choi Tae-bok Passes Away at 94, Kim Jong-un Leads Mourning Ceremony”

Former President Choi Tae-bok of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea passed away at the age of 94, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). The agency reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un attended the morning mourning ceremony, along with high-ranking officials from the central committee of the Workers’ Party. KCNA praised Choi as a “great leader and close comrade” of Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il, highlighting his significant contribution to the party’s revolutionary policies. Choi held the position of chairman of the Supreme People’s Assembly, the highest role within the Workers’ Party, from 1998 to 2019. He passed away on January 20th, following a heart attack.
