“Journalists Evacuated Amidst Chaotic Clashes at Vicenza Jewelry Exhibition”

On Saturday, the city of Vicenza in Italy made an announcement regarding the evacuation of journalists who were participating in an international jewelry exhibition. This decision was made due to concerns about security, as reported by AFP. The journalists had encountered smoke bombs, confrontations, and physical attacks. These clashes occurred following protest actions called “Freedom to Artsakh” and “End the blockade of Gaza,” which were staged in front of the exhibition booths.

According to the organizers, the Vicenzaoro exhibition, which began on Friday and will run until Tuesday, has successfully attracted over 1,300 participants from almost 40 countries. Despite the incidents, a representative of the company assured AFP that they took place a few kilometers away from the exhibition venue and had no direct impact on the organization of the event. They also provided information regarding the situation in Israel.

Jacopo Massaro, the Mayor of Vicenza, emphasized that the violence was unrelated to the fair itself.
