President Vahagn Khachatryan recently had a meeting with Agnes Callamard, the head of Amnesty International. The focus of their discussion was the aftermath of the military aggression against the Republic of Artsakh in September 2023. This aggression led to a humanitarian crisis and the presence of landmines in the region. During the discussion, both parties expressed their commitment to upholding international human rights standards and ensuring the protection of the rights of the affected population.

President Vahagn Khachatryan and Agnes Callamard expressed their appreciation for the fruitful three-year cooperation between Armenia and Amnesty International. They also applauded the joint efforts and initiatives that have been undertaken to de-mine the affected areas and support the rehabilitation of the population affected by the conflict.
