Minister of Education Applauds Success of Accreditation Programs for Teachers, Calls for Continued Professional Development

Zhan Andreyasyan, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia, recently met with the organizers and participants of the school and art education accreditation programs. These programs include kindergarten and school teachers who have undergone vocational training and achieved positive results. During the meeting, Minister Andreyasyan congratulated the participants and commended the success of the programs in enhancing their professional development.

One of the initiatives launched by the Ministry of Education and Science last year was a program aimed at providing additional compensation to accredited kindergarten and school teachers. The school accreditation program has been implemented with a systematic approach, and the results achieved by teachers who applied and successfully completed the accreditation process are encouraging. Minister Andreyasyan encouraged the participants to continuously strive for higher qualifications, as their example will serve as motivation for their colleagues within the education system.

In addition, the Ministry also introduced vocational training programs for kindergarten and art school teachers. These programs offered participants the opportunity to enhance their skills through vocational training courses, as well as receive additional compensation from the government. This year, the vocational training opportunities have been expanded for vocational art education, with a total of 19 accreditations being granted.

Minister Andreyasyan expressed his congratulations to the participants for being the pioneers of the accreditation process. He acknowledged the challenges and importance of this step, stating that by applying for accreditation, the teachers not only achieved personal success and professional development but also contributed to the implementation and improvement of the program. Their experience and success will serve as an inspiration to other kindergarten teachers in the field.

As a result of the meeting, the kindergarten teachers provided valuable feedback, suggestions, and proposals on various aspects of the programs, including remuneration, the quality of tests, deadlines for vocational literature provision, and defined standards. Minister Andreyasyan expressed his gratitude for their input and ensured that their suggestions will be taken into account during the ongoing improvement processes.
