“Emergency Services Warn of Closed and Hazardous Roads in Armenia: Travelers Advised to Take Alternative Route!”

Emergency services in the Republic of Armenia have reported that there are currently closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory. One of these affected roads is the M-6 highway, which connects Vanadzor-Alaverdi and covers a distance of approximately 38-40 km. Due to maintenance work on this road, it will be closed until February 15 for buses, trucks, and loaded vehicles with trailers. An alternative route has been established, passing through the town of Noemberyan.

Additionally, there are road closures leading to the “Amberd” high mountain meteorological station from Aragatsotn province towards Amberd fortress and Lake Kari. These closures may impact travel plans in the area.

In terms of specific routes, the Vardenyats Pass has proved to be problematic for loaded vehicles with trailers. Extra caution is advised if planning to navigate through this pass.

The roads within Syunik province are also posing challenges for loaded vehicles with trailers. It is recommended to consider using alternative routes or adjust travel plans accordingly if carrying heavy loads.

Lastly, a blizzard is currently affecting Kapan city. Residents and visitors should take necessary precautions and stay updated on weather advisories in order to ensure safety.
