The Head of the Public Council of the RA Ministry of Defense, Hayk Konjoryan, expressed his skepticism regarding claims that another country within the territory of Armenia needs to ensure the security of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. He argued that this contradicts the provisions of the agreement. It is interesting to note that Konjoryan was present during the announcement made on November 9, 2020, by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan, which aimed to ensure the security of movement between the territories of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian peacekeeping forces are responsible for implementing this announcement. The editor-in-chief and publisher suggests that Konjoryan’s statements may be a diversion or a questioning of the authority and competence of officials who are still in office.
