“Armenian Security Forces Make Alarming Discovery During Routine Traffic Stop”

On January 18, during their service in the city of Vardenis, Gegharkunik region, the soldiers of the Armenian Armed Forces stopped a car for inspection. The driver, a 20-year-old young man, did not have a driver’s license. As part of the investigation into the administrative offense, the officers noticed something bulging in the driver’s waistband. It turned out to be a knife with a large blade. Consequently, both the driver and his 23-year-old passenger, along with the vehicle, were detained and transferred to the Vardenis police.

During the inspection, the 20-year-old driver was found to be in possession of a hidden firearm with a loaded magazine. Similarly, the 23-year-old passenger was in possession of a knife with a large blade. The authorities have handed over the young men and the relevant documents to the investigative department in Vardenis, where the proceedings are currently ongoing.

This incident, which took place in Armenia’s Vardenis city, serves as another reminder of the importance of law enforcement and ensuring public safety. The Armenian Armed Forces, in collaboration with the local police, are working diligently to prevent the possession of illegal firearms and dangerous weapons.
