Tragedy struck on January 18 in the Kotayk province, as reported by Shamshyan.com. The Department of Internal Affairs of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a winter storm warning in Gjrvdze at 10:40 local time.

Emergency services, including the 1-03 emergency medical team, rushed to the scene in Yerevan. Sadly, they confirmed the death of a city resident.

Initial findings from the forensic examination revealed no signs of violence on the victim’s body. Consequently, a criminal case has been launched under the charge of murder (homicide) with indications of suicide.

The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old Gayane P., a Yerevan resident who was visiting the winter resort with her husband and children. It is believed that she either took her own life or accidentally fell.
