“Prime Minister and Mayor Express Frustration Over Timing of “Ajapnyak” Metro Station Construction Announcement”

The National Committee on Investments is eagerly awaiting the discussion regarding the construction of the “Ajapnyak” metro station. Once the discussion is concluded, the project will then be presented to the Government Administration. During the Government Administration’s meeting on January 18, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan expressed their concerns about whether it is appropriate to announce the competition for this project in the current year.

“We already have the complete project plan for the “Ajapnyak” metro station, and it is currently in the testing and evaluation phase. Once these tests are successfully completed, we can discuss the project at the next National Committee on Investments meeting. I am hopeful that construction can begin even as early as this year. If we are able to meet these timelines, the “Ajapnyak” metro station will be ready within the four-year period we have been discussing,” said Marutyan.
