“National Security Service reveals shocking corruption findings; 66 instances of wrongdoing exposed”

According to the reports from the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, investigations into cases of corruption have uncovered 66 instances of wrongdoing, including 4 cases that were previously investigated.

Specifically, the revealed instances involve 12 cases of bribery, 9 cases of fraud, 7 cases of personal asset accumulation, 5 cases of abuse of power, 4 cases of embezzlement, 3 cases of physical violence, 2 cases each of human trafficking, drug trafficking, and illegal weapons trafficking. Additionally, cases of arson, destruction of property, tampering with evidence, forgery of documents, violation of public order, receipt of bribes, manipulation of judicial documents, court records, and evidence, tax evasion, invasion of personal or economic privacy, provision of benefits to court officials, and maximum punishment for drug possession have been uncovered.

One person has been detained so far, while 5 others are still wanted in connection with these cases.

In previous investigations, two cases of abuse of power and physical violence were also exposed.

Within a single day, a total of 13 individuals have been arrested in Armenia for their involvement in the transportation of various types of narcotics. Additionally, 20 individuals have been found with varying degrees of physical injuries.
