“Head of ‘VOMA’ Industrial Complex Calls for Caution in the Release of Prisoners, Emphasizes Need for Proper Rehabilitation”

The head of the “VOMA” military-industrial complex, Vova Vardanyan, stated during an interview with NEWS.am that the release of prisoners should only occur if the person is not qualified for the position they were imprisoned for. In the case of emergencies during lockdowns, inmates could be allowed to work for a maximum of 24 hours. Vardanyan believes that the recent death of a prisoner, who was supposed to be released, highlights the issue of poorly organized internal affairs. He stressed that releasing non-professionals from prison undermines public safety in Armenia.

Vardanyan expressed concern about the lack of proper social rehabilitation and the dangers posed by releasing prisoners in any favorable situation. He emphasized the need for stability and acknowledged that resolving this issue is more challenging than simply addressing organizational problems. Additionally, Vardanyan emphasized the importance of enhancing military knowledge and improving the distribution of military resources and equipment in order to enhance the preparedness of the armed forces.

According to Vardanyan, there is a need to address the delay in the preparation of the armed forces and their potential application. He noted that despite recent military operations, improvements in technology and support from tanks have not been adequately implemented. Vardanyan concluded that a comprehensive approach is required to address these issues and ensure the safety and effectiveness of the armed forces.
