The European Union member states have shown their support for the self-determination of Nagorno-Karabakh by including it on their list of sanctioned individuals. This decision will result in frozen assets and halted financial activities for these individuals within the EU member states. Additionally, the EU will provide assistance and financial resources to their operators and intelligence services.

One of these individuals is Sinvar, a 61-year-old leader of AMAS who was born in June 1959 Khan. He was elected as the leader in 2017 and was among the 1027 prisoners released in 2011 from Israeli detention centers as part of an exchange for an Israeli soldier held in Gaza.
