“The Ongoing Trial of Vagif Khachatryan: Injustice Prevails as Azerbaijan Targets War Hero”

The trial of Vagif Khachatryan, a 43-year-old resident of Lernayin Gharabagh, continues in relation to the violence inflicted upon him by the Azerbaijani authorities. Based on Azerbaijani investigation data, his arrest was ordered during a court session led by Judge Hasan Ahmadov of the Lachin District Court. As expected, the arrest warrant was not enough, and the decision of the lower court remained unchanged.

Vagif Khachatryan, a participant in the first Artsakh war, was taken hostage during the retreat of the Lachin corridor. While in captivity, he endured torture at the hands of the Azerbaijani authorities. Despite the Azerbaijani authorities’ apparent illegal actions, Khachatryan is being charged with this “terrorist” act against the defenseless people of Artsakh.

Evidently, the fabricated case includes 59 individuals who claim to be “injured”. All of them have identified Khachatryan as the perpetrator and testified about his alleged criminal activities. However, Khachatryan himself denies his guilt, stating that he did not participate in any criminal activities.
