“Armenian Government Identifies ‘Bordering Commercial Zone’ to Boost Economic Activities, Culture Preservation”

A “bordering commercial zone” has been identified in Armenia. The discussion includes the types of stores and their activities, as well as temporary storage in public stores. It also covers the replenishment of funds from store funds, accounting and inventory principles, and forms of cooperation between stores and suppliers. Alfred Kocharyan, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, made this statement during a debate on changes to the program of the Government’s activities for 2021-2026 at the National Assembly. He also touched on separate articles of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.

Kocharyan emphasized that the new regulation will provide systematic management of cultural heritage preservation and protection, as well as the creation of new mechanisms in the field of culture.

“The powers of the relevant state body, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, will be determined based on the adoption of the proposed standards. This includes aspects such as cultural monuments and collections, as well as the security conditions of cultural monuments and collections, and their temporary removal,” he said.
