Republican Party Representative Accuses Pashinyan of Propaganda Speech to Push Armenia Towards New War

Yerkir.am recently interviewed Ishkhan Saghatelyan, the representative of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia. During the interview, Saghatelyan was asked to comment on the announcements made by Nikol Pashinyan in Gegharkunik.

Saghatelyan described Pashinyan’s speech as propaganda, aimed at diverting attention from his “combat readiness” plan and pushing the country towards another war. Saghatelyan highlighted Pashinyan’s own statements, where he claimed that Azerbaijan did not have enough resources and mentioned a new settlement in Armenia. According to Saghatelyan, these points align with what they have been saying for over three years, emphasizing that the Armenian people have been deceived multiple times, being promised peace and now being told it is unachievable due to Azerbaijan’s unwillingness.

Saghatelyan raises the question of what should be done in this situation. He believes that in order to ensure security and peace, the rule of law must be established, and effective external political governance must be ensured. Saghatelyan criticizes the current administration’s inability to solve this ongoing problem. He emphasizes the need to educate and inform the Armenian people about the potential consequences of these actions, including the risk of creating a second Armenian statehood after Artsakh. Saghatelyan believes that if there is the courage to recognize this danger, all the issues can be resolved quickly.

This interview provides insight into the perspective of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia regarding Pashinyan’s announcements. It highlights the concerns about the potential consequences of his actions and emphasizes the importance of effective governance and educating the people. Through this interview, Saghatelyan aims to shed light on the potential risks and to advocate for resolving the issues at hand promptly.
