“Baghramyan Avenue Protest Movement: A Dangerous Threat to Armenia’s Stability and Regional Security”

Once again, our society faces one of the most dangerous threats, the Baghramyan Avenue protest movement. This movement has the potential to not only cause political unrest in Armenia but also physical unrest. Vardan Voskanyan, the head of YSU’s Faculty of Oriental Studies, expressed his concerns about this movement on his Telegram account. He emphasized that such unrest is not encouraged and highlighted the possible impact it could have on resolving the issue at hand and Russian influence in the Southern Caucasus. These factors could prevent the establishment of a barrier against Russian aggression and the withdrawal of Armenia from the CSTO.

If the Baghramyan protest movement continues, it would not only bolster Russian influence in Azerbaijan, but also result in a complete failure. Given this, it is evident that a platform for dialogue and a government-opposition compromise is the only viable solution. Vardan Voskanyan stresses the importance of creating such a platform to address the issues fueling the protests.
