The Moscow City Administration was not informed by Washington about the decision to impose sanctions on Russian activities, according to Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Russian President. In an official statement to RIA Novosti, Peskov criticized the unfounded allegations made by the United States regarding Russia’s legitimate actions. Bloomberg had previously reported that the Russian Embassy was allegedly involved in a campaign to impose sanctions on activities related to Russia, based on an advisory from the State Department. In response, the Russian Embassy is working to coordinate actions with other G7 countries to minimize the risk of retaliation by foreign investors in the US.
