The Khachkar mountain, located between Gyumri and Kobi on the Goodauri-Stepantsminda-Larsi road, has been shut down for transportation due to the heavy snowfall and blizzard. Vahan Hakobyan, the head of the Armenian Customs Office in Russia, mentioned in an interview with NEWS.am that this decision was made during his visit to Verkhni Lars.

Hakobyan clarified that the closure only applies to regular cars, indicating that other forms of transportation may still be operational. It is crucial to prioritize safety under such conditions to prevent any accidents or distress caused by the extreme weather conditions. Motorists are advised to check for updates and abide by the road closure until further notice.
