“Prime Minister Pashinyan and UNDP CEO Steiner meet to boost trade and economic cooperation in India”

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently had a meeting with Achim Steiner, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Global Programs at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in India, as reported by NEWS.am from the Prime Minister’s press service.

Attending the meeting along with the Prime Minister were his advisor, Narine Ter-Grigoryan, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of India, V. G. Aryan. The objective of the meeting was to discuss various key topics, such as the potential increase in trade volumes between the two countries, the expansion of logistics infrastructure, and matters concerning trilateral economic cooperation involving India, Iran, and Armenia.

During the discussions, Vahan Kerobyan, a prominent figure present at the meeting, emphasized the attractiveness of Armenia to India in terms of transit due to its membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and its geographic proximity to European nations.
