The judicial body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) recently convened in Yerevan to hold hearings regarding the Energy Charter Treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to the EAEU, arbitration proceedings against Armenia were initiated on February 27, 2023, based on allegations of breaching the energy sector provisions of the agreement in relation to Nagorno-Karabakh. In light of this situation, local authorities are urging the participation of local mediators to help facilitate a resolution to the dispute.
