“Explosion of Fireworks in Aramus Reveals Shocking Negligence: Victim’s Own Fault Unraveled”

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has released new information regarding the fireworks explosion in Aramus village. On January 11, at 23:00, a resident from the NKR Emergency Management Center in the Kotayk region reported a fire in Aramus village and requested emergency assistance. At 23:39, an operational group arrived from the “Abovyan” medical center and transported the victim, a 47-year-old resident of Aramus, to the medical center. Unfortunately, the explosion resulted in severe injuries, leading to the amputation of the victim’s leg. A registered case is currently under investigation.

Through operational-investigative measures and forensic examinations, it was discovered that the victim is responsible for the explosion due to his own negligence. He was located in one of the hotels in Jermuk and subsequently arrested. Later, the victim was transferred to the hospital ward of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Kotayk. During a search, the victim’s personal firearms, a CZ-75 type handgun with 16 rounds of ammunition and one spent cartridge, were found. Reports have been forwarded to the Investigative Committee for further proceedings.

Additionally, according to NEWS.am, Major-General Tiran Khachatryan, recently appointed as the head of the General Department of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, visited Jermuk and held discussions on enhancing fire safety in the resort.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
