The Yerevan City Council’s “Mother Armenia” faction is taking legal action against the Mayor’s Office regarding the decision to grant representation powers to Tigran Avinyan. This decision has sparked a debate over the approval requirements, as we have previously reported. A lawsuit was filed by Samvel Hakobyan, a member of the “Mother Armenia” faction, with the administrative court. However, the court did not accept the application initially, leading the plaintiffs to appeal the decision to the Appeals Court. Today, the Appeals Court ruled that the Administrative Court should accept the filed application. If the plaintiffs succeed, all decisions and orders, including the decision to increase the number of red lines in the areas of traffic restrictions signed by Tigran Avinyan, will be nullified.
