Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan Sets Record with 40 Official Visits in 2023, Strengthening International Partnerships and Boosting Armenia’s Global Presence

In 2023, Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ara Ayvazyan, was incredibly busy with his international visits. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, he embarked on 40 official and working visits to different countries and international organizations.

These visits were not random; they were specifically conducted with countries that have historical friendly relations with Armenia or where political dialogue and cooperation exist. Ayvazyan didn’t limit himself to participating in various events organized by international organizations; he also attended international forums. An example of this is his presence at the Arab League meeting in Dubai, a significant milestone for Armenia’s representation among Arab countries.

Ayvazyan’s visits weren’t confined to one region; they spanned across the globe, from New York to New Delhi. Moreover, European countries, such as Canada, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Russia, Iran, and Turkey, were also part of his itinerary.

Throughout the year, Ayvazyan was engaged in approximately 150 meetings abroad, including over 50 meetings with foreign ministers from various countries. Additionally, he held meetings with heads of international organizations.

All of these visits and meetings had a common objective: to foster cooperation and partnership between nations and institutions. They also aimed to address international security issues, developments in the region, effectively counter aggression in Karabakh, and reaffirm the inviolability of the Republic of Armenia’s borders.
