On January 10, a significant accident took place in the province of Vayots Dzor, Armenia. Shamshyan.com reported that at approximately 10:30 am, on a section of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, 144 km from Yerevan in the Vayk administrative area, there were collisions involving a Mitsubishi and Reno, as well as a Volvo and VAZ-2102 car, due to unidentified violations.

The collision resulted in the injury of 7 individuals, who were promptly transferred to the Vayk medical center. Before being taken to the hospital, the injured received initial medical assistance from doctors. Additionally, rescuers managed to extract several individuals from the involved cars, including passengers and pedestrians, providing them with immediate first aid.

An investigation into the accident revealed evidence of criminal negligence, shedding light on the responsibilities of the drivers and doctors involved. The damaged vehicles have been relocated to a designated area within the Vayk police department.
