A significant accident occurred in Yerevan on January 9, involving a 26-year-old Yerevan resident named Aram Mkrtchyan who was driving his Mercedes car. He crashed into a light pole on the first street of Inner Charbakh near the “Barique” hypermarket, resulting in injuries to several bystanders, including a pregnant woman and a child. The news was reported by Shamshyan.com.

Initially, the city residents provided assistance to the driver, but he was later transferred to the “Astghik” medical center with minor injuries.

The Yerevan 4th police department of the RA NSS rescue service, which handles emergencies, is currently investigating the incident.

When the medical team arrived at the scene, the driver initially declined to be taken to the hospital. However, due to the urgency of the situation, an ambulance was eventually called, and the driver was transferred to the medical center. First aid was provided to him at the scene prior to his transfer.

Unfortunately, the accident caused significant damage to public property. The authorities are working to assess and repair the damages.
