European officials and diplomats, cited in the article, believe that the 76-year-old Draghi possesses all the necessary capabilities for the role. The article suggests that if offered the position, it will be difficult for Draghi to resist. However, it remains unclear whether the EU itself is prepared to actively support him. Natalia Kochina, Director of the Institute of International Relations of Italy, explains that Draghi may face significant challenges as the EU is currently experiencing instability.
