“Diplomatic Tensions Rise as Croatian Ambassador Condemns Conversation with Armenian President”

The Ambassador of Croatia to Slovakia, Lubos Blaha, has expressed concern over the changing conversation between the country’s parliament and President Armen Sarkissian in his office, according to diplomatic sources reported by Aktuality.

The discussions are focused on improving the national institution of mediation in conflicts, with particular emphasis on the recognition and protection of the rights and freedoms of the main founders and representatives of fundamental human rights, as stated in the announcement.

In a Telegram message, Blaha referred to this as a “provocation” and described the statement as a “little childish fantasy”. Relations between Blaha and Sarkissian have been deteriorating since November, leading Blaha to publicly declare his change of the President of Armenia’s picture in his office to that of Zuzana Caputova, the President of Slovakia.
