Yerevan City Hall has recently introduced traffic lights in the city, which have been imported from the Chinese company Zhongtong. A resident of Yerevan, Gagik Yeghiazaryan, reported an incident on January 5th to the Department of Urban Development at the Municipality of Yerevan. He noticed that the traffic lights of Zhongtong buses number 58, located at the intersection of Abovian and Erebuni streets, were blinking and damaged. It was discovered that while the bus was in operation, an individual in a camouflage suit appeared suddenly from the intersection of Rustaveli-Belinsky streets towards Belinsky Street, struck the bus with a stick, and made off with the bus’s traffic light. Consequently, a criminal case has been initiated by the relevant department of Yerevan City Police, in the Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Armenia.
