A tragic incident occurred in the Tavush province on January 6. The operational headquarters of the Internal Affairs Ministry of the Republic of Armenia in the Tavush regional administration received an emergency call at around 17:45. The call reported that a resident of Enokavan village, known as “Khashi Dosch”, had entered the settlement and tragically died, as reported by shamshyan.com.

Photographer Gagik Shamshyan also stated that the National Crisis Management Center of the RA NSS received a similar emergency call, responsible for managing 9-11 calls. Rescuers and civilians approached the scene, located about 2 km away, and discovered the body of a 28-year-old Russian citizen, Norair Aghabekyan, in a ravine that was difficult to access. It took them around 2 hours to reach the secluded and inaccessible area.

In response to the emergency call, the Tavush regional crisis management group of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations was deployed. Additionally, a military helicopter was sent due to the challenging terrain. G. Shamshyan provided information stating that the deceased, a 20-year-old national, had informed the authorities and rescuers that he had gone to the mountain known as “Khachi Dosch” to take pictures.
