“Tragic Incident in Armenian Village: Child Falls into River, Young Adult Drowns in Rescue Effort”

On January 6, at 17:34, the regional rescue service in Tavush received a distress call reporting that a child had fallen into the river in the village of Yenokavan. The assistance of rescuers was immediately requested. The RA NSS Rescue Service confirmed this information and stated that the incident was under the jurisdiction of the Tavush regional rescue headquarters.

According to reports, a 23-year-old individual identified as N.A. (born in 1997) from Surb Sarkis village entered the river and tragically drowned. The rescuers successfully retrieved the body from the river, which was approximately 2 km away from the original incident location. They promptly administered first aid using an ambulance.

This incident highlights the importance of prompt response and effective emergency services in ensuring the safety of the community. It serves as a reminder of the dangers associated with bodies of water and the need for caution when near them.
