On the evening of January 5, the Holy Divine Liturgy and the Annual Blessing of the Water took place at the Holy Nativity and Epiphany Cathedral of Ejmiatsin. The service was led by His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, along with the participation of Archbishop Naregatsi, the Second Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, and other bishops of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Notable attendees included Samvel Sahramanyan, the President of Artsakh, and other high-ranking officials.

During the service, Archbishop Vrtanes Abrahamian, the Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, delivered a sermon focusing on the theme of Artsakh.
