Yerevan’s Construction Sector Faces Demand Shortages; President Announces Measures to Address Issue and Boost Completion of Projects

Yerevan-based construction and development company has recently announced a high demand for construction projects in the city, leading to shortages. During a press conference on December 4, President Garik Baghdasaryan of the State Committee for Urban Development explained that adjustments have been made to complete ongoing projects due to the implementation of the overall construction plan. Baghdasaryan mentioned that if these projects are finished, the demand will double. To address this, additional funds have been allocated for reconstruction. The completion of two construction projects, including the installation of gas systems, has already taken place, with plans to equip the remaining areas.

Furthermore, Baghdasaryan revealed that new membership fees have been established for new members. This decision ensures that there will be no shortage of general members, and the funds used for constructing the installations will be returned. In terms of gas, only connection fees will be charged and defined by April 1 to allow for the return of these funds.
