According to Aram Pakschanian, head of the “Ayb” educational foundation and deputy director of the ABBYY company, the new condition of car ownership in Yerevan is causing confusion. Pakschanian expressed his frustration on Facebook, stating that the situation remains chaotic and unclear. He cited the principle of economics, that when prices increase, demand decreases significantly, as a possible explanation. The problem lies in the lack of clear regulations and enforcement regarding parking in the city. Pakschanian also mentioned the issue of individuals monopolizing parking spaces through bribes. It is evident that Yerevan’s car ownership is in need of better organization and control.
