“Water Company Veolia Jur Faces Strict Deadlines for Water Supply Restoration, Warns State Committee of Water Economy”

The head of the State Committee of Water Economy, Garegin Baghramyan, announced during a meeting with journalists that the water company “Veolia Jur” is required to announce the deadline for restoration of water supply in case of any interruption. Baghramyan also mentioned that this time there will be no financial benefits for the company and any water restrictions will be compensated within certain timeframes. If these timeframes are violated, citizens who haven’t received water will receive a minimum compensation of 2500 AMD in their bank accounts. The company may also face an investigation and further penalties from the Interstate Commission for Water Resources Management of Armenia if it fails to meet the established timeframes.

Furthermore, Baghramyan stated that the water supply system works autonomously and the maximum duration of water supply interruption is 24 hours, with specific durations of 4 hours in Yerevan and 6 hours in the provinces. These measures aim to ensure that the company provides efficient and timely water supply services to its customers.

It is important for any water company to prioritize communication and transparency by announcing the deadline for restoration of water supply in case of interruptions. This not only allows customers to plan accordingly but also holds the company accountable for any delays or failures in service delivery.

Garegin Baghramyan, the head of the State Committee of Water Economy in Armenia, emphasized the need for timely compensation to customers who experience water restrictions. In previous years, the company had received financial benefits for compensating water restrictions within certain timeframes. However, Baghramyan clarified that this time no financial benefits will be granted, and instead, customers will receive direct compensation in their bank accounts if the indicated timeframes are violated.

To ensure compliance, the company may be subject to investigation and potential penalties by the Interstate Commission for Water Resources Management of the Republic of Armenia. Baghramyan highlighted the importance of timely payment to customers in order to avoid such probes and further violations.
