“Putin Opens Doors: Foreign Military Personnel Granted Russian Citizenship, a Move that Could Enhance National Defense”

The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, has recently signed a decree that grants Russian citizenship to foreigners and their family members who have signed a contract for military service in the Russian Armed Forces. This decree, as reported by the “Arguments and Facts” newspaper, specifies that foreign citizens participating in special military operations or forming military formations in the armed forces, or those who have signed a military cooperation agreement, can declare their intention to obtain Russian citizenship.

In addition, the decree also extends this opportunity to foreign soldiers who have served in foreign countries under a cooperation agreement, granting them the opportunity to receive a Russian passport.

These recent developments are significant in the context of Armenia’s international news. It remains to be seen how these changes in Russian citizenship laws will impact foreign individuals serving in the Russian Armed Forces and their families.

More updates and further analysis on this issue are expected as this story unfolds.
