One person was killed and another injured in an explosion caused by a drone in the eastern part of Baghdad. Iraqi ZLM officials reported that the incident took place in an area where the al-Hashd al-Shaabi international coalition forces are stationed. The explosion resulted in the deaths of Abu Takva al-Sa’idin, the commander of the 12th brigade of the al-Hashd al-Shaabi international coalition forces, and his deputy. Additionally, four others were injured, according to reports from Irna.

According to sources cited by Al-Mayadeen television channel, the al-Nujba movement’s commander and his assistant were targeted in the drone attack on a convoy of the al-Hashd al-Shaabi in Baghdad. The initial data suggests that an explosive device was used in the attack.

Al-Nujba has taken responsibility for the death of their commander and has placed the blame on the United States for the incident. Reports indicate that the explosive device used in the drone attack was powered by chemical materials specifically designed for aerial targeting in Baghdad.
