On December 28th, RA NSS officers conducted an operation in the city of Armavir in response to reports from Shamshyan.com. The officers had received information that a resident of Armavir was spreading radical ideologies and inciting hatred among the population. With the aim of preventing the further spread of such dangerous ideas, the officers approached the individual. However, instead of cooperating, the individual not only refused to cease their activities but also started promoting radicalism through propaganda. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, the officers took the necessary steps to arrest the individual and handed them over to the NSS Armavir division for custody.

It is important to note that this recent arrest is not an isolated incident in Armavir. On November 24th, during a protest rally organized by residents of Beyrouth and Grigor Lusavorich streets in Yerevan, there was a violation of traffic rules. As a result, a Mercedes vehicle was damaged and police intervention became necessary. Investigation following the incident revealed the presence of explosive material in the vehicle. The suspect, who had a criminal record, was previously identified by the “Jutakhar” intelligence service for involvement in extremist activities. The individual involved in this incident is identified as E. Yenokyan, a resident of Armavir. Additionally, three other individuals, Aram V., Roman S., and Artur S., were found to be involved in the transportation and storage of the explosives. The vehicle was subsequently taken to the NSS Armavir division for further investigation, and the necessary documentation was prepared and sent to the Central Division of the Yerevan Police Department and the Nork-Marash administrative districts, where the criminal case was registered.
