Authorities of Kotayk Province have announced that they have resolved the case of a 38-year-old resident involved in human trafficking. This individual was responsible for the sexual exploitation of four individuals, including one child. The completion of the criminal investigation led to the resolution of the case.

Based on factual data obtained from the main authority responsible for investigating and prosecuting crimes, it has been revealed that the 38-year-old man resorted to trafficking and exploitation due to lack of employment or income. This was done to generate income for himself and his underage children, who were living in difficult conditions. The victims were offered for sexual exploitation to a person in the Garni community.

It is important to note that the victim had requested compensation for their work, in the form of food, from the person responsible for the situation. The victim’s youngest child, along with the mother and sister, had moved to an exempted farm area in Ananasian, where they were subjected to forced labor without payment.

The victim’s relatives provided necessary food for the 38-year-old man, deducting the cost from the victim’s income based on a verbal agreement. Additionally, the man resorted to physical violence to punish the victims and force them to perform various tasks. The situation also involved a debt for stolen goods and cigarettes.

After visiting the authorities accompanied by lawyers, the incident was resolved. The evidence, including mobile phone records, has been submitted for the criminal case, which has now been sent to court for approval and further action.
