Explosion and Car Fire on Gas Pipeline in Vedi City Leaves Driver Hospitalized

On December 29, at 17:02, we received information from the regional headquarters of the Armenian Rescue Service regarding an explosion on a gas pipeline in the central part of the city of Vedi, under the jurisdiction of the Ararat province. The Armenian Rescue Service has requested assistance from the rescue team due to casualties resulting from the incident. The regional rescue team has conducted an assessment of the situation.

According to the latest updates provided by the Armenian Rescue Service, a Toyota car driven by K.A., born in 1997, suddenly stopped on Ararat Street in Vedi and caught fire. Fortunately, the driver was immediately taken to a medical center for necessary medical attention before the arrival of rescuers at the scene.

The rescuers promptly extinguished the fire on the car, closed the gas valve, and ensured the safety of the surrounding area until the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived.
