Armenia’s Ministry of Defense Reports 56 Cases of Ceasefire Violations, Including Disturbing Acts of Violence

According to recent press releases from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, there have been a total of 56 incidents of ceasefire violations. Out of these, two were previously executed acts of violence.

Specifically, according to NEWS.am, there have been 15 cases of injuries, 4 cases of physical violence, 5 cases of mental abuse, 4 cases of torture and property damage in prisons, 3 cases of failure to ensure the security of a child’s life or health care, 2 cases of failure to ensure the security of a citizen’s life or health care, 1 case of encroachment upon property and personal safety using a weapon, 1 case of property damage, 1 case of professional power abuse, 1 case of illegal detention, 1 case of endangering civilian life, 1 case of gas, chemical, biological, radiation or nuclear contamination, 1 case of illegal possession or use of firearms or explosives, 1 case of privacy violation through illegal seizure of personal property, and 1 case of privacy violation through illegal seizure of property not under the person’s protection.

There has been one reported death and six injuries in total.

Among the previously executed acts of violence, there were one case of personal injury and one case of domestic violence.

During the past day, the civilian airport has registered 20 flights, and 24 people have suffered various degrees of bodily injuries.
