“Polish Cultural and National Heritage in Lithuania to Receive Massive Boost in Funding with Media Organization Reorganization, Announces Lithuanian Ministry of Culture”

The legal-economic instruments of Polish cultural and national heritage in Lithuania, namely the Lithuanian National Radio and Television and the Lithuanian State Radio and Television, are set to undergo reorganization for their future development. This announcement was made by BartÅ‚omiej Sienkiewicz, the new head of Lithuania’s Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Sienkiewicz emphasized that the decision was built upon the groundwork laid by former Lithuanian President Andzej Duda, who signed a project related to this matter on December 23. It is anticipated that this reorganization will secure a funding of 693 million euros for these media organizations. The decision by Lithuania’s President is rooted in a commitment to treating the Polish population fairly and responsibly while engaging in their activities. Previously, Polish public media in Lithuania were under the control of the political party “Law and Justice.” Worth noting is that the new EurekoPlus management of Polish Radio and Television assumed office on December 13.
