Former Directors and Accountants of “Yerevan” Medical Center Arrested in Massive Tax Evasion Scandal, Owing AMD 299 Million

An announcement has been made regarding the discovery of significant amounts of unpaid taxes by the former directors and chief accountants of the “Yerevan” medical center. This revelation led to an investigation into the financial activities of the center. It has been revealed that T.T. served as the director of the medical center from 2006 to 2015 and then again in 2015 to 2016 under the name H.B. During their tenure, they engaged in undisclosed commercial activities and administrative operations, resulting in tax evasion amounting to AMD 198,921,594 and AMD 91,576,096, respectively.

From 2007 to 2016, the head accountant of the medical center actively cooperated with authorities to avoid paying taxes. They provided advice and information with the deliberate intention of evading taxes, which is a violation of the law. Additionally, they failed to submit financial calculations and did not meet the obligations set by the tax inspection.

As a result, the chief accountant and directors of the medical center have been found to owe a total of AMD 299,255,008 in unpaid taxes. The evidence presented has led to charges against the three individuals under Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.

Furthermore, their properties have been seized in accordance with the respective amounts owed. The investigation has reached its completion, and the materials pertaining to the criminal case have been sent to the court for approval. The case is now under the jurisdiction of the court.
