“Azerbaijani President Aliyev’s Moves in Artsakh Raise Concerns for Russia and Europe, Says Armenian College Director”

Marcel Avoyan, the director of the Armenian college named after Aliev, announced in an interview with NEWS.am that Aliev played a crucial role in alleviating Russia’s position and occupying the remaining part of Artsakh after the 2020 war. However, Avoyan emphasized that Aliev has not yet resolved the issue of Artsakh for Russia. Just like the unresolved Armenian Genocide issue for Russia, the “karabakh issue” will also need clarity.

Avoyan further explained that if the defeated Baku poses any danger, it will come from either Russia or Europe. He pointed out that Azerbaijan purchases gas from Russia and resells it to Europe, making the relationship between these countries significant in this context.

According to Avoyan, Aliev is attempting to establish connections with Armenia’s western borders and has sought assistance from the President of Azerbaijan. Currently, Europe, with the involvement of Turkey, has certain demands, so Aliev is striving to elicit a response from either Europe or Russia. This photograph indicates that Aliev initially made political choices, highlighting that the most important internal issues for his country lie in Azerbaijan. Despite this, Khurshudyan concluded that Aliev will continue to try to evade Europe and Russia and conceal these issues.
